Dedicated to minimizing environmental damage and pollution, McDan strictly abides by all environmental laws and regulations. The company contributes immensely to sustainable economic development through job creation, skills development and social works.
The company has won numerous accolades from both national and international bodies for its quality services and excellent operations. McDan shipping was recently award at the Ghana Edition of the West African Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence Awards 2015 for its commitment to social development. This CSR report shares some of the stories about our actions that have benefitted the

Support to Ghana Armed Forces 37 Military Hospital Upon a request from Ghana Armed Forces to McDan Company to assist in establishing a modern kitchen and a Dietician’s office as well as revamp the Emergency and Trauma Center of 37 Military Hospital, the company donated an amount of GHS 100,000 as a respond to this request.

Youth Empowerment & Capacity Building In 2013, McDan shipping donated $10,000 to Ghana Tennis Association (GTA) to help the association regain its affiliation from International Tennis Federation (ITF), after GTA was ban by ITF after accruing three years of unpaid affiliation fees with the international body.

Donation of Chairs to GIMPA Law Faculty McDan Shipping donated set of hundred chairs worth over $100,000 to the school as a token of appreciation to GIMPA Law Faculty. This was in response to GIMPA naming the Faculty’s Moot Court after the CEO of McDan Shipping, Dr. Daniel McKorley.

Donation to Children in Need To improve the lives of underprivileged children, McDan Shipping gives donations of various items and cash to improve the lives of underprivileged children such as Autistic children and orphanages across the country.

McDan Open 2016 McDan shipping has immensely contributed to reviving the tennis sports in Ghana, which was gradually deteriorating. The company has been a lead sponsor in a tennis tournament, named McDan Open that is held in Ghana yearly.McDan Shipping is committed to ensuring Ghana Tennis gains international recognition and also to encourage inclusive and active participation of all Ghanaians, especially deprived youths.
